  1. General presentations

    • 0709176 – Hvaleyrarbraut - speed bump

      A proposal was put forward to place a speed bump at Miklaholt.

      UHU supports the proposal from the Environment and Design Department for the location of a speed bump on the north side of Miklaholt.;

    • 0906066 – Throsturás, traffic safety

      A memorandum was presented.

      UHU supports the proposal from the Environmental and Design Department for the placement of a speed bump opposite Svöluás.

      To be taken up again.

      UHU referred to the minutes of item 2 of the meeting, where a new speed bump was approved.

    • 09102435 – Skógarás, traffic safety

      Taken up.

      UHU suggests that the speed of traffic is measured between the streets.

    • 0904178 – Hvannavellir, traffic safety

      A proposal for speed humps in the street was put forward.

      UHU approves the proposal from the Environment and Design Department for speed-reducing measures on the street. In the so-called "cushion" layout, the street is also narrowed to a single lane.

  • 09102436 – Flower fields, speed bump

    Taken up again. A speed measurement carried out on 2 November last was presented. Speeds were measured on Blómvellir. The average speed was 21.1 km/h and the highest speed was 42 km/h. Blómvellir is a 30 km/h road.

    UHU rejects the request on the grounds that the average speed is considerably below the permitted speed.;

  • 09102446 – Hvaleyrarbraut, traffic safety

    Taken up again. The speed measurement carried out below Skipalóns on 3 November last was presented. The highest speed down Hvaleyrarbraut was measured at 70 km/h and the average speed at 44.2 km/h. The highest speed up Hvaleyrarbraut was 100 km/h and the average speed was 48.8 km/h. Hvaleyrarbraut is a 50 km/h road.

    UHU denies the request, but the Environment and Design Department has been tasked with taking a closer look at the junction with Skipalón.

    A proposal has been submitted regarding pedestrian lights or improving the lighting at the speed bump on Fléttuvellir by Hraunvallaskóli.

    UHU suggests that the street lighting in the area is reviewed.;

    An Eflu memorandum was presented on 12 October, in which the selection of lighting specifications is reviewed.

    A resident in Ásland has raised a concern regarding a sign at the end of the cul-de-sac. The matter was previously on the agenda of UHU on 16 February 2009.
