• 0911125 – ITH Staff and Continuing Professional Development Programme 2010

  Drafts of the work and continuing professional development plan for the sports department and the continuing professional development plan for the youth and leisure department were presented.

  The Sports Representative reported on the preparations for the Sports and Awards Gala, which will be held on 29 December.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee instructs the Chairman of ÍBH to request information from sports clubs regarding the recognition of the clubs and their athletes.

• 0911126 – Sports facilities maintenance, proposals 2010

  The sports representative put forward proposals for the maintenance of sports facilities in 2010.

• 0911127 – Subsidies for sports and leisure activities, rules

  Draft regulations on subsidies for sports and leisure activities for those aged 16 and under, to take effect on 1 January 2010, were presented.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee approves the draft for its part.

• 0911196 – ÍBH, request for talks with the City of Hafnarfjörður regarding the sports associations' sports representative.

  A proposal from the Hafnarfjörður Sports Association, dated 5th November, has been submitted, requesting discussions with the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður regarding a review of the operating agreement for the sports associations' sports representatives.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee instructs the Chair of the Sports Committee and the Sports Officer to begin talks with the Hafnarfjörður Sports Association.

• 0702123 – Ásinn/Mosinn, pilot project for organisational changes

  The Director of Youth and Leisure Services reported on the status of organisational changes in the youth centres, which are planned to take effect in autumn 2010. The heads of all youth centres in Hafnarfjörður have been informed of the matter.

  The Director of Youth and Leisure Services reported on a survey of employment prospects recently conducted by the Work Experience Programme among 17-year-olds who worked there over the summer.

• 0904109 – ÍTH Winter Website 2009, new ÍTH homepage

  The Operations Manager for Youth and Leisure presented the new ÍTH website, along with a new information portal for the winter programme which is currently under development, similar to the summer portal. The ÍTH site will go live in the coming days.

  The minutes of the Hafnarfjörður Youth Council meeting of 5th November were presented for information.

  Subsidies for leisure and sports clubs, payments to sports clubs.

  The Chairman of ÍBH wishes to draw attention to the fact that the clubs have a fixed date for payments to be made to them for participation fees paid through the resident portal, as payments for the September-December period have not yet been made.
