  The Sports and Leisure Committee thanks you for the good publicity and encourages clubs in the town to continue to take an active part in the activities of the leisure centres.

• 0809118 – The Police in Hafnarfjörður, cooperation

  Statistical information regarding crime trends in Hafnarfriður was presented.

  ;

• 0811045 – Style, Hair, Make-up and Fashion Design Competition 2008

  The Hafnarfjörður competition took place at the youth centre Setrinu on 7th November, the theme was the future and 16 teams took part. The winning teams came from Öldan, Ásnum and Setrið, but one team from each youth centre will take part in the national competition, which will be held on 22nd November in Kópavogur.

• 0811043 – Maintenance of sports facilities and infrastructure for 2009

  A maintenance plan for sports facilities and requests for capital equipment for 2009 were presented.

• 0811040 – Sports and Awards Gala 2008

  The annual sports and awards ceremony will be held on 29th December.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee instructs the Chairman of ÍBH to request information from sports clubs regarding the recognition of the clubs and their athletes.

• 0811057 – Kaplakrikavöllur, security at the football stadium

  A request from the FH Football Department for a grant towards the cost of mandatory security at football matches is considered.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee refers to its previous minutes of 28th May:

  “The Sports and Leisure Committee refers the matter to the 2009 budget and the review of operating agreements with the club's main board.”

  To consider a letter of no date from the FH Football Department, requesting a grant for the payment of training sessions.
