The Lava Rock youth centre band competition took place on 12th February at Bæjarbíó. Each band performed two original songs, and the band “Sound of Seclusion” emerged victorious; they are mostly from the youth club Hraunið at Víðistaðaskóli. The jury also selected the best guitarist, bassist, drummer and singer.

Guidelines on enhanced consumer protection for children regarding marketing aimed at children have been presented for consultation. The Children's Ombudsman, together with the Consumer Advocate, have compiled guidelines intended to supplement existing legislation and regulations.

The Chair of ÍTH presented and introduced the action plan of the working group on the equality initiative in sports and leisure activities in Hafnarfjörður. The plan sets out the projects the working group is focusing on, along with the responsibilities for implementation and follow-up.

A contract for an operating grant to the Bjarki Gymnastics Club was presented. The contract covers the running of an office by the Bjarki Gymnastics Club and other projects. The contract is identical to the previous agreement with the club, but the amounts have been revised.
