  The Operations Manager for Youth and Leisure Affairs reported on ideas and preparations for the summer brochure, 'Hafnarfjörður Youth'.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee agrees that the summer brochure will be in an electronic format as a living page.

  The Head of Youth and Leisure Services discussed ideas for the programme for the 17th of June celebrations in Hafnarfjörður.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee requests support from the Culture and Tourism Committee of the City of Hafnarfjörður.

• 0902300 – Summer job at ÍTH, 2009

  The Head of Youth and Leisure Services reported on the number of applications received for the summer job and provided an update on the progress of the summer activities.

• 0804264 – A vibrant Hafnarfjörður in the summer of 2009

  The chairman of ITH spoke about ideas for an information website and/or an idea bank where you could find information about what there is to do together in Hafnarfjörður. The idea is in its early stages.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee is pleased with the idea and instructs the Manager of Youth and Leisure Services to proceed with the project with the Chair of the Sports Committee.

• 0804260 – ÍTH, quiz competition

  The Head of Youth and Leisure Services reported on the final of the ITH and primary schools“ quiz competition, ”Do You Know the Answer?". The competition took place in the Flensborg School hall and was a great success. The Víðistaðaskóli team won by a narrow margin in a thrilling contest. It is clear that this competition is here to stay and that there is great interest among the teenagers.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee congratulates the competitors from Víðistaðaskóli on their victory.
