New Strætó route network takes effect on 14 June
On Sunday 14 June, a new and simpler bus network will come into effect in Hafnarfjörður. The change is the first step towards the new Strætó and Borgarlína network. Routes 22, 33, 34, 43 and 44 will cease to operate. New route 19 and the extended route 21 will replace them.

Route 19
Route 19 will run from Kaplakriki, via Hjallabraut, Setberg, Ásabraut, to Ásvallalaug and back. The route runs every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes off-peak. Connections to routes 1, 21 and 55 will be at Fjörður.
Route 21
Route 21 is being extended and will now run between Mjóddur and Miklaholt, instead of between Mjóddur and Fjörður. The route will continue to run every 30 minutes throughout the day. Connections to routes 1, 19 and 55 will be at Fjörður.
