New Day Care Officer

Hrund Guðmundsdóttir has been appointed as the new day care officer at the Hafnarfjörður School Office and will start work on 1 August. Hrund is qualified as an educator (pedagogue from Holstebro Pædagogseminarium in Denmark and also completed a B.Ed. degree at the University of Iceland's College of Education. In June last year, she graduated from the University of Iceland with a Master's degree in Human Resource Management.

Hrund has extensive experience in management roles within nurseries. She has, among other positions, worked as a department head, special education manager, deputy headteacher and headteacher. She now works as a project manager.

Hildur Sigurbjörnsdóttir has been the day-care officer since 2002 but has been on leave since last autumn and has now decided to resign. Sigurborg Kristjánsdóttir has been covering for her for almost a year.
