New Managing Director of the Marketing Agency

Thelma Jónsdóttir has been appointed Managing Director. Marketing Office of Hafnarfjörður and started work on 1st April last. 

Thelma holds an MBA from the University of Iceland and a master's degree in marketing communications from the Free University of Berlin. She previously worked as Operations Manager for the Red Cross of Iceland's clothing project and as Marketing and Communications Manager at the University of Iceland's Centre for Continuing Education. Thelma has been active in various forms of community work in recent years, particularly with FH, where she currently sits on the main board. She was also the chair of the parents' council at Flensborgarskólinn and simultaneously served on the school committee. Thelma is married to Steinbjörn Logason, a graphic designer and teacher at Ásland School, and they have two sons, Máni Mar, who plays football for the Haukar first team, and Óttar Úni, a player for the FH 4th division football team. 

Thelma takes over the day-to-day operations and a wide range of projects aimed at strengthening the business community in Hafnarfjörður, such as creating a forum for consultation for existing businesses in the town and attracting new companies. The marketing agency also serves as a bridge between the business community and the city's local government. Today, nearly 100 companies in Hafnarfjörður are members of the marketing agency.
