New Director of Hafnarfjörður Library

Sigrún Guðnadóttir has been appointed Director of the Hafnarfjörður Library. Since 2008, she has worked at the Kópavogur Library, most recently as Branch Manager of the Lindasafn branch, as well as serving as Deputy Director of the Kópavogur Library. Previously, Sigrún worked at the main library of the Reykjavík City Library from 2001 to 2007.

Previously, Sigrún worked at the main library of the Reykjavík City Library from 2001 to 2007.

Sigrún holds a BA in Library and Information Science from the University of Iceland and an MA in Applied Cultural Communication from the same institution. She has been active in societies, including the SBU, the Association of Librarians and Information Specialists, and is currently its chair.

Sigrún's arrival brings important experience and a strong vision for the Hafnarfjörður Library, which holds an important place in the minds of the town's residents. Sigrún will start on 1 December.
