Paradise and a versatile outdoor recreational area in the uplands of Hafnarfjörður
Work has begun on a new play area at the western end of Hvaleyrarvatn, where access will be provided for a castle and a large swing. The area in question is near the barbecue area and the new car parks which were completed last year. The project is part of the development of the area, which includes Hvaleyrarvatn and Höfðaskógur. A path by the lake has already been improved, better facilities have been created at the western end of the lake, and now a play area is to be built for the children so that the whole family can enjoy it.
The area is expected to be ready for use by mid-July 2023.
