The Family Council of Hafnarfjörður approved new regulations on travel services for disabled people at its meeting today.
The charge for up to 60 journeys per month was set at half the standard bus fare. Journeys beyond this number will cost the standard bus fare.
No specific limit is set on the number of journeys per month, taking into account the opinion of the Advisory Council for People with Disabilities in Hafnarfjörður, but journeys will continue to be allocated in accordance with users' needs.
The Family Council also recorded serious concerns about the handover of the transport service to Strætó and will continue to monitor the progress of the matter closely.
