From 1 January 2017, the processing of housing benefits was transferred to the Employment Office. Hafnarfjörður Council advises tenants to collect the original tenancy agreements from the Council's Service Centre at Strandgata 6 for their own safekeeping.
From 1 January 2017, the processing of housing benefits was transferred to the Employment Service.
The Employment Authority now processes housing benefits electronically, so there is no longer a need to submit the original tenancy agreement, as was previously required. Hafnarfjörður advises tenants to collect the original tenancy agreements from the Hafnarfjörður Service Centre, Strandgata 6, for their own safekeeping.
