Now it's summer in town
- The brochure Summer in the town 2025 is out. It has been delivered to homes but can also be found at the library and the folk museum, in Hafnarborg, the customer service centre and our swimming pools.
Summer in the town 2025
There are a host of events here in Hafnarfjörður this summer. The biggest ones are here:
- 12th June is the Hafnarfjörður Run in June, as it is our national day.
- 17th June is the national day
- 13th-18th June is the Viking Festival at Víðistaðatún
- 18th-28th June is the Hafnarborg Song Festival
- 22 June is the theatre group Lotta in Hellisgerði
- From 22 June to 2 August, the Hjarta Hafnarfjarðar music festival takes place.
- 17th August It's the Elf Festival in Hellisgerði.
- 29.-31. August is the costume and games gathering, Home and Heavens
Every Wednesday this summer, there are cultural walks. A varied programme of walks to suit everyone.
The brochure Summer in the town 2025 has now been delivered in Hafnarfjörður. There, all the events are listed and all the walks are detailed. Those of you who miss an issue, or would like one for friends and family, can collect it from the service desk at our museums: Hafnarborg, the Folk Museum and the Library. The leaflets are also available at the town's swimming pools.
