Public meeting at Hafnarborg
The Marketing Authority of the Capital Region and the City of Hafnarfjörður are holding an open meeting at Hafnarborg on Tuesday, 3rd June at 17:00. An analysis of the destination of Hafnarfjörður will be reviewed with the aim of developing ideas on how to enhance the destination, along with the reception of tourists and cruise ships. The project will inform the City of Hafnarfjörður's vision for tourism and visitor reception, as well as being utilised in the work of the Marketing Institute of the Capital Region, particularly in relation to marketing the capital region.
A destination analysis was carried out and a stakeholder meeting was held, with the aim of discussing the reception of tourists and cruise ships. The focus was on opportunities and challenges, and ideas were developed on how to enhance the town as a tourist destination.
An open meeting has now been called to review the project's findings and to discuss the way forward.
All are welcome who are interested in the development of Hafnarfjörður as a destination.
