As before, the Christmas Village is looking to partner with individuals, organisations and businesses that have quality products at a reasonable price, a diverse range of goods, and a clear connection to the nation's Christmas traditions.

Would you like to be part of the Christmas Village this year? What's required?
Several factors are taken into particular consideration when selecting vendors for the Christmas Village. First and foremost, they must offer quality products, with regard to food, drink and experience, and the connection to Christmas must be clear. The variety of the village and the overall experience are also taken into account when choosing between vendors. A visit to the Christmas village should be an essential tradition, a chance to taste and smell the Christmas season.
Competition for stalls
There has been a good turnout at the Jólavík market in Hafnarfjörður in recent years. This year, the village opens on Friday. 15th NovemberIt will be open throughout Advent on Fridays from 5 pm to 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm, and until 9 pm on Christmas Eve.
In the Christmas Village, there will be around twenty decorated chalets, each measuring 5.8 m². The rental fee for a chalet is 21,900 kr. for the weekend. The fee includes all costs for set-up, running the chalet, and cleaning the area. In addition, the City of Hafnarfjörður will promote the Christmas Village and attract visitors in various ways.
With regard to goods for sale, sellers must comply with any applicable laws and regulations. If a product or product category is subject to any conditions or restrictions.
Application deadline: 1 October 2024
