Registration for the after-school club 2023-2024 is now open.
The after-school clubs in Hafnarfjörður are available for children in Years 1-4 and operate at all of the municipality's primary schools. An application is valid for one school year at a time (August-June), and applications received by 15 June are given priority.

Their role is to offer a wide range of leisure activities after the regular school day has finished, including group activities, workshops, outdoor pursuits and electives, as well as providing leisure transport to sports training sessions. The aim of the after-school clubs is for every child to enjoy themselves and develop in an environment characterised by warmth, safety and respect.
An application is valid for one academic year (August-June), and applications received before 15 June are given priority.
Applications received after this time may be placed on a waiting list and will not be processed until August. When registering, it is important to ensure that all information is correct and any special needs are recorded. When a child is offered a place at the after-school club, an offer will be sent to the email address provided with the registration. The offer must be confirmed by reply within three days.
Registration for the 6-year-olds' summer course at the leisure centre will be announced later in April.
