Organisational changes – water protection boundaries

Proposal for an amendment to the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður 2013–2025 regarding water protection boundaries, in order to align with the Regional Plan for the Capital Area.

The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approved, at its meeting on 23 November 2016, a proposal to amend the 2013-2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður concerning water protection boundaries, in order to align it with the Regional Plan for the Capital Region, and it was published in accordance with the relevant regulations. Section 31 of the Planning Act no. 123/2010.

The amendment proposes that the well area at Straumsel be removed, and consequently the boundaries of the water protection zone will be shifted southwards by the extent of its catchment area. There will also be changes to the well area in Mygludælar.

Proposal for an amendment to the Undirhlíð local plan for Sandskeiðslína 1

Hafnarfjörður Town Council, at its meeting on 23 November 2016, resolved to advertise a proposal for an amendment to the Undirhlíðar detailed plan, concerning Sandskeiðslína 1, in accordance with Section 43 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.

The change consists of increasing the number of high-voltage lines from one to three and shifting the easement boundaries northwards to comply with the current Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður 2013-2025. The boundaries of the water protection and neighbourhood conservation zones will be amended to align with the Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður.

Proposed amendments on display from 29 November – 10 January 2017

The planning proposals, together with the environmental reports, will be on display at the Environmental and Planning Service, Norðurhellu 2, and at the Hafnarfjörður Municipal Service Centre, Strandgata 6, from 29 November to 10 January 2017. Those who consider themselves to have an interest are given the opportunity to make comments on the amendment and these should be submitted in writing to the Environmental and Planning Services of Hafnarfjörður Municipality, no later than 10 January 2017, or to the email address berglindg@hafnarfjordur.is. Those who do not comment on the changes within the specified deadline are deemed to have accepted them.
