It has been approved to advertise proposals for a revised local plan for the area at Reykjanesbraut – the connection to Rauðhellu/Krýsuvíkurveg, the plots at Strandgötu 23–30 and the plots at Stapahraun 11–12. Proposals are on display and comments may be submitted until 31 August.

Detailed plan for Reykjanesbraut – connection to Rauðhellu/Krýsuvíkurveg

The Planning and Building Committee of Hafnarfjörður approved at its meeting on 28 June 2016 to advertise a proposal for a revised detailed plan for the Reykjanesbraut due to the connection with Rauðhellu/Krýsuvíkurveg in accordance with 1. subsection of Article 43 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010. The amendment consists of an enlargement of the roundabout compared to what was previously planned, and a new slip road to the Helluvæði area.

Detailed plan for the plots at 26–30 Strandgata

The Planning and Building Committee of Hafnarfjörður approved at its meeting on 28 June 2016 to advertise a detailed plan amendment for the plots at 26–30 Strandgata in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 43 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010. The change consists of an extension of the plot and permission for increased building volume. The maximum combined plot density without parking will be 3.41, according to the proposal.

Detailed plan for the plots at Stapahraun 11–12

With reference to the letter from the Planning Authority dated 9 June 2016, the planning officer's report dated 27 June 2016 and the detailed plan drawing by NEXUS architects, the Town Council, on behalf of the City Council of Hafnarfjörður, on 14 July 2016, approves, to advertise a proposal for an amendment to the detailed plan for Stapahraun 11–12, in accordance with section 43 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010. The amendment consists of combining plots 11 and 12, Stapahraun, and shortening the street frontage. The plot ratio for the combined plot will be 0.75.

The proposals will be on display at the Hafnarfjörður Service Centre, Strandgata 6, and at the Environmental and Planning Service, Norðurhæð 2, from 20 July to 31 August 2016. The proposals can also be viewed here:

Those who consider themselves to have an interest are given the opportunity to make comments on the changes, which must be submitted in writing to the Environmental and Planning Service no later than 31 August 2016. Those who do not submit comments on the changes within the specified deadline will be deemed to have consented.
