Óskar Guðjónsson appointed as Director of the Library
Óskar Guðjónsson has been appointed the new director of the Hafnarfjörður Library and will start work at the beginning of August. Óskar holds a Master's degree in Library Science from the State University of New Jersey and a BA in Library and Information Science and Literature from the University of Iceland.

Óskar holds a Master's degree in Library Science from the State University of New Jersey and a BA in Library and Information Science and Literature from the University of Iceland.
He currently works as a collection manager and has overall supervision of three branches of the Reykjavík City Library.
Anna Sigríður Einarsdóttir, the current director of the library, has announced her intention to step down this autumn. Anna has led the Library of Hafnarfjörður for nearly twenty years and has worked at the library for 31 years.
The Hafnarfjörður Library has performed very well in surveys conducted by the municipality of Hafnarfjörður over recent decades and is one of the town's most popular cultural institutions.
