Harvest – Growing roots

Uppskera is a joint project of the refugee support department of the City of Hafnarfjörður and the charity GETA. The aim of the project is to connect Hafnarfjörður families and refugee families living in Hafnarfjörður to share experiences and knowledge and help each other grow their own vegetables this summer. Each family will receive a plot in the Hafnarfjörður community gardens, and the idea is for the paired families to meet regularly. The families are in contact and help each other with their gardening. The aim of the project is to connect families in Hafnarfjörður and refugee families living in Hafnarfjörður to share experience and knowledge and help them grow their own vegetables this summer. Each family gets a plot of land in Hafnarfjörður's vegetable gardens, and the idea is that the connected families meet regularly. The families are in contact and help each other with the cultivation.
