Notification to child protection about a member of staff

Notification when there are grounds to suspect that the conduct of a person who, by virtue of their occupation, has contact with children is seriously deficient, in accordance with section 35 of the Child Protection Act.

Anyone who has reason to believe that the behaviour of a person who, by virtue of their occupation, has contact with children is seriously deficient is required to report it to the child protection authority. In accordance with Icelandic child protection laws Individuals under the age of 18 are considered to be children.

Anyone reporting to the child protection committee must give their name, but if anonymity is requested, only the staff member investigating the matter will know the reporter's name. The reporter must provide their name, email address and telephone number so that they can be contacted for further information.

If the matter is urgent, please inform the reporter. You were advised to contact 112 by telephone.
