Hafnarborg emphasises giving everyone the opportunity to experience culture and the arts, and offers guided tours for all age groups. Sjónarhorn are educational sessions for older people with an interest in culture and the arts, to learn about the activities at Hafnarborg, current exhibitions or individual works from the collection.

At the next lesson, Wednesday 13th April at 2 p.m., The selected works from the Hafnarborg collection, which now numbers almost 1,600 pieces created using a variety of media, will be discussed in detail. These include paintings, drawings, three-dimensional works and video art, and the museum also looks after the public art in Hafnarfjörður.

Design March – Tinna Gunnarsdóttir

A guide to the exhibition by Tinna Gunnarsdóttir, Touch on the landscape. The works in the exhibition are part of Tinna's ongoing doctoral project and are based on years of research in Héðinsfjörður, where she explores the relationship between man and landscape, employing design methods. The exhibition is part of Design March 2022.
