Employment-related summer programme for young people with disabilities

Verkherinn is a summer job for young people, aged 16–20, with a disability or reduced work capacity. The work camp is good preparation for entering the general job market later in life. The young people get the opportunity to try out several workplaces and take part in a fun course. The work camp is a tobacco-free workplace.

What are the working hours of Verkhersins?

Working hours are from 09:00 to 14:20 every weekday.

How to apply to Verkhernum?

What is done in the Workshop?

Work is carried out in partnership with local businesses. In recent years, Verkherinn has collaborated with, for example, shops, the Hafnarfjörður Library, nurseries, Krónan, Húsasmiðjan and others. Individualised work is also available, where tasks are tailored to the needs and work capacity of each person.
