Design system

  1. Signs

The emblem was designed for the 50th anniversary of Hafnarfjörður in 1958 and is deeply rooted in the hearts of the town's residents. The lighthouse and the sea waves refer to the town's seafaring and its harbour, which is the lifeblood from which it takes its name. The designers are Friðþjófur Sigurðsson and Ásgeir Júlíusson. The emblem can be found in Vitan, the design system of Hafnarfjörður.
