Rock blasts on the Reykjanesbraut continue
Rock blasts, which began on the Reykjanesbraut last week, are continuing this week. The first is today at 12:45. The contractor will stop all traffic on the Reykjanesbraut for a few minutes while it is taking place.
Construction work on the widening of the Reykjanesbraut, from Kaldárselsvegur west to the Krýsuvíkurgatnamót, which has been ongoing since autumn 2019, continues, and the completion of this phase is scheduled for 1 November 2020. Explosions in the coming weeks
The blasting operations that began on the Reykjanesbraut last week are continuing this week. The first will take place today at 12:45. The contractor will stop all traffic on the Reykjanesbraut for a few minutes while it is carried out. The blasting is taking place in the cutting on the Reykjanesbraut, between the Krýsuvíkur roundabout and the Strandgata bridge.
