School operations at Ásland School regarding announced strikes
The Icelandic Teachers' Association, on behalf of the Association of Primary School Teachers and the Association of Headteachers of Iceland, is calling a strike by its members working at Áslandsskóli. The strike will not affect other primary or nursery schools in Hafnarfjörður.

The industrial action is temporary, starting at 00:01 on Tuesday, 29 October and ending at 23:59 on Friday, 22 November if an agreement is not reached. No one may cover the duties of this staff except the headteacher and deputy headteacher. If the strike is called off, school will continue as normal.
Arrangement of school activities at Ásland School in the event of a strike
- No school from and including Tuesday, 29 October.
- The leisure centre will be open during its usual opening hours, fOpen 13:00-16:30 every day except Wednesdays, from 14:00-16:30.
- Youth clubs will be open in line with advertised opening hours.
