Grass and vegetation

The maintenance and care of the town's flowerbeds, planting and grass is carried out in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner.

Lawn mowing

The grass in the town is mown 3–6 times over the summer by contractors and Service Centre. The most frequently used areas are mown most often.

It is not marked on people's plots, but the plot boundaries can be seen on The map website under Property. Questions and suggestions regarding mowing are best sent via The feedback portal.

Green areas

Paving and cleaning of tree and flower beds are carried out in the summer by Service Centre and The Work School.

Environmentally friendly and cost-effective principles are the guiding principles for the design of planting and green spaces in the town. For example:

  • Removal of pea gravel from playgrounds, and the installation of a more environmentally friendly and convenient alternative, such as rubber tiles.
  • Flower meadows on traffic islands, they don't need mowing and are better for the environment.
  • Battery-powered devices are used instead of electrical appliances.
