Leisure driving

All children in Years 1–4 are offered a leisure transport service to training sessions starting at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Registration

Training schedules and information on registration for sports and leisure activities can be obtained from the sports and leisure clubs. It is best to register children for training first and then for leisure driving.

The leisure bus is free and all registered children can access it.

Children who are not enrolled in the after-school club for Years 1–4 can also use the transport. In this case, it is the parents' responsibility to ensure they arrive on time at the designated pick-up point.

Organisation

A bus runs from the after-school clubs at Hafnarfjörður's primary schools every weekday, except during the primary school holidays for Christmas, Easter and winter. Trips are provided to training sessions for numerous clubs, such as the School of Choreography, the Music School, the gymnastics club Björk, FH (Kaplakriki), Haukar (Ásvellir), SH, the Hafnarfjörður Badminton Club, the Hafnarfjörður Music School and the Keilir Golf Club.

A member of staff from the after-school club accompanies each trip, ensuring the children's safety on the coach and that they reach the correct destination. Parents or guardians then collect the children from the training venue once the session has finished.
