Talking about sex can be a challenge
Talking openly about sex can be a challenge for both parents and teachers of young people. Sex education for teenage boys is presented as a funny show where three mates discuss everything from masturbation to losing their virginity, as well as the doubling of the size of the clitoris during arousal. In this show, the lads are young men who meet on a self-empowerment course run by the Employment Service and are at risk of losing their unemployment benefits unless they take part in a community project. Their community project in the show is this sex education session. The e-learning materials are accompanied by project ideas that can help teachers link the topic to the exhibition without the discussion becoming too personal. Projects that focus on, for example, masculinity, myths about sex, and what is „off-limits“ or difficult to talk about.
