Short closures and disruption to traffic on the Reykjanesbraut
Weather permitting, two footbridges are scheduled to be moved to their correct locations this weekend for the Reykjanesbraut dualling works. The move will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, starting at 21:00 on both nights. The move will affect traffic; there will be a 15-minute closure both evenings with no diversion, followed by a diversion via Ásbraut until 02:00.

Traffic on the Reykjanesbraut between Straumsvík and the Krýsuvíkur junction will be stopped at 21:00 for approximately 15 minutes, with no diversion for the general public. Traffic will also be stopped on the Reykjanesbraut between the Krýsuvíkur-roundabout and Kaldárselsvegur between 21:00 and 02:00, with a diversion via Ásbraut.
Saturday evening, 29th February at 9 p.m.
Traffic on the Reykjanesbraut between Straumsvík and the Krýsuvíkur junction will be stopped at 21:00 for approximately 15 minutes, with no diversion for the general public. Traffic will also be stopped on the Reykjanesbraut between the Krýsuvíkur junction and the Strandgata bridge between 21:00 and 02:00, with a diversion via Ásbraut.
