The sun steps into the Icelandic Christmas spirit for the first time
„We're creating traditions and finding our feet. We want to be part of the festive spirit in Hafnarfjörður,“ says Guðrún Böðvarsdóttir, one of the owners of Sóli restaurant in Hafnarfjörður, which opened in mid-August.
Sunshine in the run-up to Christmas
„We are creating traditions and experimenting. We want to take part in the Icelandic Christmas atmosphere,“ says Guðrún Böðvarsdóttir, one of the owners of Sóli restaurant in Hafnarfjörður, which opened in mid-August. Two couples own the place, which has attracted a great deal of attention, located in a greenhouse on the harbour front, unique.
„Christmas brunch and a special evening menu,“ says Guðrún, will be the theme for Christmas, and the venue is open from Wednesday to Sunday. „We're partnering with Bæjarbíó this Christmas and offering a Jóla Hólm menu for guests who want to eat before Sól's stand-up show. We make sure people leave full and on time for the show.“
The restaurant Sól has been very well received. „We are getting a great response from both residents of Hafnarfjörður and our guests.“ The restaurant is now evolving during its first few weeks.
„We feel that people have high expectations when they come to our establishment, and so we have developed our menu to meet them in the very best way.“
