The criteria for spring cleaning are from 1st April to 1st June each year. The town is divided into 15 neighbourhoods, with the aim of sweeping each one in a single day according to a pre-arranged schedule. Signs will be put up in the neighbourhoods the day before sweeping takes place, and residents will also receive text messages with information about when it is their turn.
Cooperation matters
Residents are encouraged to do their bit to ensure the best possible results. It is important that streets are clear of cars on the day they are being swept, so that the edges and kerbs can be cleaned properly. It is also an ideal opportunity for residents and businesses to tidy up around their own premises and within their grounds – this will make the town's appearance even more attractive. Following the neighbourhood sweeping, the work will continue with high-pressure washing, further sweeping of main roads and collector roads, and island cleaning.
