Strætó's ordering service in Hellnahraun
From 1 February 2022, Strætó will offer a booking service to the Hellnahrauni industrial estate in Hafnarfjörður. A new route, number 26, will be added to the Strætó network and will specifically serve this popular and growing industrial estate in Hafnarfjörður. Journeys must be booked at least 30 minutes in advance.

In 2022, Strætó is offering a booking service to the Hellnahrauni industrial estate in
Hafnarfjörður. New route number 26 will be added to the Strætó network and it will specifically

has been building up its operations in the neighbourhood in recent years and more large
and a few small businesses will be added in the coming weeks and months.
A trip must be booked with
at least 30 minutes' notice
The arrangement is
in such a way that taxis handle the driving and a journey must be booked at least 30 minutes in advance.
Call to book a collection within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time.

Tap and go for ten or a single fare in the Strætó or Klapp app. This new bus route number
26 has its starting and ending point at Ásvallalaug, where passengers can change into
and from routes 1 and 19. It is planned that the service in the neighbourhood will be increased after
as demand increases.

Continuous development with the aim of increasing sustainable travel
Line 1 in
Hafnarfjörður will change this summer. The terminus of the route will thus move from
Hvannavellir and will be at Nóntorg in Skarðshlíð. With the change, residents' access
in Skarðshlíð and Hamranes to route no. 1
significantly, as route 1 is the most efficient route in the current bus system. Also, route 21 in Háholti is a short distance away, with a new footbridge crossing the Reykjanesbraut.
