Summer festival in the city centre
On Thursday, 2nd July, a summer festival will be held in the town centre for children and young people who have taken part in the summer activities in Hafnarfjörður. The event will begin with chalk art on Ráðhústorg, and there will be entertainment on Thorsplani.
On Thursday, 2nd July, between 1 pm and 4 pm, a summer party will be held in the town centre for children and teenagers who have taken part in the summer activities in Hafnarfjörður. At 13:00, the creation of artworks on Ráðhústorg will begin (weather permitting), and at 14:00, the programme will start on Thorsplan.
Guests can take part in games and challenges. The Vinnuskólans art group, the Competo peer education programme and creative summer activities are hosting fun events. The youngest guests will receive a surprise treat, and there will be hot coals and sausages on the barbecue.
Strandgatan and part of Linnetstígs will be closed to car traffic during the festival from 12:30 to 16:00.
