Thank you, Lions Club Ásbjörn!

The Lions Club Ásbjörn visited the home at Steinahlíð at the end of November and presented the residents and staff with 200,000 kr. for household items. The home is now adorned with a new coffee machine, a new television and a coffee table, and it is safe to say that the residents are absolutely delighted with the gift. The Lions Club Ásbjörn, which was founded in 1973, works on charitable projects in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, and on international projects for Lions Clubs International.

The Municipality of Hafnarfjörður maintains and operates twelve homes for disabled people in Hafnarfjörður. The service is intended for people with disabilities who have a permanent disability assessment. These residential options provided by the municipality enable disabled people to live in their own homes, in accordance with their needs and wishes, as far as possible, with the aim of enhancing their control over their own circumstances and lives.
