Charity of the 2022 Hressleikar

This year, Hress is taking an unconventional approach to its grant-giving and has decided to support three families. The grant will be shared equally among all the families. In total, 11 children and their families are to be supported and embraced.

Ösp Ásgeirsdóttir and family

Ösp, who was brought up in Hafnarfjörður, was diagnosed with stage 4 appendix cancer last December and has been unable to work for the past month due to illness. Ösp is married to Jón Grétar and they have three children: Hreiðar Ægir Leví, aged 15, Óðinn Loga Leví, aged 12, and Iðunni Vala Leví, aged 8.

Elsa Kristín Auðunsdóttir and family

Elsa Kristín Auðunsdóttir is a resident of Hafnarfjörður and a mother of five who lost her fiancé, Þórður Kárason, in August this year. Her children are Kári, aged 2, Sunna, aged 4, Tinna, aged 6, Anna, aged 8, and Laufey, aged 17. It is good to be able to support Elsa in her challenging projects ahead.

Hreiðar Geir Jörundsson and family

Hreiðar Geir Jörundsson lost his wife Svava Bjarkadóttir at the beginning of October, leaving behind three children: Klara Lind, aged 7, Aldís Eva, aged 4, and Hektor Orri, aged 6 months. Hreiðar and the children live in Garðabær. It is good to be able to support the family at this difficult time.
