Ideal for families in the health spa town of Hafnarfjörður
The Hafnarfjörður Orienteering Race has begun for the 27th time. This year's theme is exciting: folklore and fairy tales. The aim of this popular orienteering race is to lead participants far and wide across the Hafnarfjörður highlands to enjoy the great outdoors and nature. 27 markers have been placed across the Hafnarfjörður uplands. The Hafnarfjörður Orienteering Trail runs from June to September each year, until 24 September.
Hönnunarhúsið ehf. publishes the game in collaboration with the health town of Hafnarfjörður and has done so since 2006. Guðni Gíslason, owner of Hönnunarhúsið and a scout, now laid the course for the 17th time, but the game, as previously mentioned, is being released for the 27th time. You could say that 27 is a bit of a signature number for the game this year, as the 27 clue markers are out, as usual, and located all over the town, and the game is now in its 27th year! As it says on the scavenger hunt's website Omar Smári Ármannsson, an archaeologist, has compiled some entertaining material about each and every clue location. The scavenger hunt is therefore a fun storytelling game this year, and horror fans are encouraged to complete the game before it gets dark in the autumn!
