Children's Book and Film Festival in Hafnarfjörður dedicated to Guðrún Helgadóttir

The Children's Book and Film Festival in Hafnarfjörður will be held in

The aim of Book and Film Week is to remind people of the importance of reading and books and
their connection to films.

Special emphasis will also be placed on those authors who now live and
are active in writing for young readers, such as the actor Gunnar Helgason and
a writer who lives in Hafnarfjörður. It so happens that a picture by

A concert by junior and senior choirs at the Hafnarfjörður Children's Choir Festival in Víðistaðakirkja.

13:00 Penalty shootout by the library Actors from
Penalty in Westman Islands.

14:00 Film screening at Bæjarbíó

The film Jón Oddur and Jón Bjarni by
the eponymous story by Guðrún Helgadóttir.

Before the film, there will be a clip from the film Víti í
Premiered in the Westman Islands.

• Poems from book covers: Visitors to the children's and young people's department
The library can have a go at creating poems from book titles.
