The Christmas adventure begins in Hafnarfjörður – lighting of the lights and Christmas village

On the first weekend in December, Christmas officially begins in
Hafnarfjörður with the opening of the Christmas Village and the switching on of the Christmas lights at Thorsplani. The little

transforms into a pedestrian street during the village's opening hours. Santa Clauses make an extra trip to
