This biggest shopping season of the year brings with it a lot of packaging and rubbish. It quickly fills up the bins at home. Sorpa therefore asks you to show general consideration, especially in blocks of flats. We are encouraged to make use of the services available.
There are around 90 collection points in the capital region. Eight are here in Hafnarfjörður. Three take the paper.

Sorpa points out that its local collection points are divided into small and large. The smaller ones accept glass, metal packaging, bottles and cans. The larger points also accept paper, cardboard and plastic packaging. These sites are intended to allow residents to dispose of this waste, which increases significantly over the festive period.
„If you have large packaging and even more categories, then you're very welcome at SORPA's Recycling Centres,“ say the staff, giving us a warm welcome.
