Town Council resolves on the Technical College

At the meeting of the Hafnarfjörður Town Council today, the following resolution was adopted:

„The Hafnarfjörður Town Council expresses concern about the future of the Hafnarfjörður Vocational School, in light of the discussions now underway regarding a possible merger with the Technical College. The Vocational School plays an important role in the educational community of Hafnarfjörður and serves not only the many young people from Hafnarfjörður who study there, but also students from elsewhere in the capital region and from all over the country. The Hafnarfjörður Town Council places great emphasis on the importance of a diverse range of further education, particularly vocational training, in the municipality, and requests information and consultation regarding the future of the Hafnarfjörður Vocational School. The Town Council emphasises that the operations of the Hafnarfjörður Vocational School will continue in the town.“
