A talented group of young people from Hafnarfjörður lets their light shine

The Hafnarfjörður youth club singing competition was held at the Bæjarbíó in the middle of last week. An exceptionally talented group of young people from Hafnarfjörður took to the stage, and it is safe to say that the competition was exciting and fierce. The judging panel, tasked with the important job of choosing the winners, consisted of Siggi Gunnars, Music Director of Rás 2; Kjalar Marteinsson Kollmar, singer and songwriter; and Silja Rós Ragnarsdóttir, singer and songwriter. They all have in common that they were involved in the TV Song Contest earlier this month, where Siggi Gunnars was the presenter and Kjalar and Silja sang the song ”Styð þína braut'. The two singers competing for Hafnarfjörður in the 2023 Samfés Song Contest are Ellý Hákonardóttir from the youth centre Ásnum at Áslandskóli, and Sunna Björk Magnúsdóttir from the youth centre Hrauni at Víðistaðaskóli.
