Tender for the development of community services in Hamranes

Hafnarfjörður is inviting tenders from interested developers for the plot at Hringhamar 43.

Proposals shall be submitted for the development, service and operational arrangements, including for a nursing home and primary healthcare. The prospective plot holder must enter into an agreement with the relevant government agency regarding the operation and construction of the service. According to the detailed plan, at Hringhamar 43, there is a plot for a nursing home, health centre and services.

Land for a community service with 80 nursing places

A building of up to five storeys is permitted on the site, to house a care home, a health centre and related services. The site's building envelope is generous, and within it, parking, outdoor recreation areas, emergency vehicle access and buildings are to be provided. Provision is made for up to 80 standard nursing rooms, where residents have private space for their use, along with communal areas. The outdoor areas should feature sheltering structures and a pleasant environment for residents to enjoy.

The deadline for tenders is 12 noon on Friday, 14 July 2023.

Applicants must provide information on the use of the plot, with regard to services, financing, and what the City of Hafnarfjörður's involvement in the project should be. Submitted information from bidders will be treated as confidential. The City of Hafnarfjörður reserves the right to reject all bids received. Bids should be submitted to the City of Hafnarfjörður's Service Desk, Strandgata 6, no later than 12 noon on Friday, 14th July. The Family Council of Hafnarfjörður Municipality will evaluate the tenders and submitted data in collaboration with the staff of Hafnarfjörður Municipality and consultants.
