Temporary closure of Strandgata south of Reykjanesbraut
On Thursday, 19 March, from 9:30 am to 4 pm, a contractor will close traffic on Strandgata south of Reykjanesbraut due to works to double Reykjanesbraut in Hafnarfjörður. Diversions for motorists are via the Krýsuvíkurveg junction and Kaldárselsveg, but the path remains open to pedestrians.

Information about the duplication of the Reykjanesbraut
The dualisation of the Reykjanesbraut through Hafnarfjörður is nearing completion. Construction work has already begun and is scheduled to continue until late autumn 2020. The project is a collaboration between the Road Administration and the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður.
