Tónagull is a music course for families. which was founded in 2004 by Helga Rut Guðmundsdóttir, a music education teacher. The aim of the courses is to meet the needs of infants, 0-3 years old, as well as their parents. The music workshops are based on a free-flowing approach, where the active participation of children and parents is the main focus. The course material has, from the outset, been based on the participants' native-language nursery rhymes and lullabies.

The first music workshop in Polish was held in 2019. It uses the same method as the original courses in Icelandic, with translated versions of some of the Icelandic songs, as well as working with Polish children's songs, rhymes and verses. These workshops were immediately well-received and have since been very popular with the Polish community in Iceland.

Tónagull is supported by the Port City and the City of Hafnarfjörður. The music workshops were first held at the museum in spring 2020 and have been held since, with interruptions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The music workshops take place on Sundays at 12 noon. Registration forms for the courses can be found here in Polish.
