European Mobility Week will be held from 16 to 22 September this year. Mobility Week is a European initiative for improved transport in cities and towns. The aim of the week is to encourage people to think about their own travel habits and to get them to use public transport, cycle or walk. The City of Hafnarfjörður has taken an active part in the week in recent years and will, of course, do so again this year, for example, by participating in a conference on the bicycle and nature, the greening of car parks, flags on green streets and the installation of educational signs at five protected sites in Hafnarfjörður.
The programme for Mobility Week 2016 looks promising, and everyone is encouraged to take an active part.
