Are you a creative young person?
To mark the International Day of Children, on 20 November, UNICEF Iceland is calling for drawings from children and young people under the age of 24 on the theme of imagining the world that children and young people would build for children after COVID-19, if they had the chance to decide.
The content of the pictures is open, but for example, subjects could include:
- Imagine a greener and more sustainable world
- Imagine the future of education
- Imagine a future without discrimination
- Imagine a future where all children feel good.
UNICEF will publish selected photos from children around the world under the hashtag #voicesofyouth in the days leading up to 20 November. UNICEF Iceland will collect all the photos received in the country and publish them on the organisation's social media, and there are plans to set up a digital exhibition of selected photos, which will open on the International Day of the Child.
All interested parties are asked to send their photo with a very short explanation to the email address: steinunn@unicef.is or by post to the UNICEF office in Iceland, Laugavegur 77, 101 Reykjavík. The photos must be received by 15 November.
