Hafnarfjörður Cross-Country Run 2021 – thank you for coming!
The Hafnarfjörður Cross-Country Run took place in the town centre on Sunday, 3rd October, and with this fantastic run, the healthy town of Hafnarfjörður kicked off Europe Active Week 2021.

The Hafnarfjörður Cross-Country Run took place in the town centre on Sunday, 3rd October, and with this fantastic run, the healthy town of Hafnarfjörður brought European Sports Week 2021 to a close. Many promising runners were taking their first steps in the race, with around one hundred competitors in total, the largest numbers being in the youngest age groups.



Introduction to shot put and long jump
The athletics section of FH organised the race and offered those interested the chance to try the shot put and long jump before the race itself began. Solla Stirða and Halla Hrekkjusvín from Latabæ then took care of the warm-up and stretching for the stiff teams. All competitors received medals, donated by the City of Hafnarfjörður, and the first competitors to cross the finish line in each category received trophy cups.
