Vidistaðaskóli won in Veistu svarið 2021

A thrilling final of the 'Do You Know the Answer?' primary school quiz took place at Bæjarbíó last week, where teams from Áslandaskóli and Víðistaðaskóli competed for the top two places. The competition has so far been held online, but the final took place at Bæjarbíó, and it's safe to say the tension was high and the competition fierce.

A close and exciting competition

The competition was very close and exciting and after a brilliant contest, Víðistaðaskóli emerged as the winner. The competitors for Víðistaðaskóli were Fannar Berg Skúlason, Ari Dignus Maríuson and Emilía Nótt Davíðsdóttir, with Kristmund Guðmundsson as their team leader. The competitors representing Ásland School were Ívan Atli Ívansson, Þorsteinn Ómar Ágústsson and Páll Steinar Guðnason, with Þórdís Lilja Þórsdóttir as team manager.

Both the nine-team and four-team finals were held online with good success.

Great ambition is always placed in the preparation for both the competition and, not least, the competitors. The last time winners were crowned was in 2019, as Covid-19 put its mark on the 2020 competition, as it did on so much else. This year, it was decided to hold the competition in a Covid-secure manner, and both the quarter-finals and the semi-finals were held online and streamed live to all the youth clubs, with great success. Árni Stefán Guðjónsson was the quizmaster and judge for the competition.
