News

The purpose of the web portal is to provide maps and statistical information of regional importance for the capital region, as well as to offer information on the current status of matters in areas such as transport, planning and environmental protection.

The Association of Local Authorities in the Capital Region (SSH) has launched a new statistics and mapping portal on its website, called the SSH Web Viewer. The Web Viewer is part of the implementation of the Capital Region Plan 2040, and the work was partly funded by grants from the Regional Development Strategy 2015–2019.

The purpose of the web portal is to provide maps and statistical information of regional importance for the capital region, as well as to offer information on the current status of matters in areas such as transport, planning and environmental protection.

The web viewer allows you to view various statistical and mapping information relating to the municipalities in the capital region, including:

  • Local authority development plans
  • Growth limits of the capital region
  • Water protection area
  • Population development
  • Density of settlement
  • Housing by school catchment areas
  • Bus routes
  • ...and more

The web viewer will be continuously developed, and in 2020 the aim is to add even more organisational and demographic information, as well as to begin work on developing a dashboard that will be accessible on the web viewer.
